As our third internship reaches its midpoint, our team from Ensign College + BYU Pathway has been hard at work. During this spring term, I find myself deeply grateful for the thoughtful, strategic work happening behind the scenes at Patella Publishing Services.
While much of this internship’s work won’t be immediately visible, its impact will begin unfolding as we move toward our April 6th launch of new engagement initiatives. The systems being built now will quietly shape how we connect with readers in the months ahead — and Peyton’s fingerprints are all over what comes next.
Peyton Fitkin, our Team Lead and Reports Manager, has been leading the strategic architecture of this project. Her steady, analytical approach ensures that our reader community isn’t built on guesswork, but on intentional systems. She raises thoughtful questions and offers insight that paves the way for meaningful next steps.
We are fortunate to have Peyton’s perspective and leadership guiding us forward.
Meet the interns making this happen!
My name is Peyton Fitkin and I am the Team Leader of this internship. I bring a business mind to the team, as I am in my last semester of a Bachelor’s in Business Management and an Associate’s in Accounting. I am working on the logistics of this book’s campaign—the what, how, and when—and I hope to help this campaign flourish and run smoothly.
I am somewhat of a nomad, having lived in 8 different states, but I spent the majority of my youth in Arizona and have lived in Utah for 5.5 years now, and have recently become a homeowner here, so I’m here for the long haul! I have spent over 10 years working on getting a degree, with some dips in taking classes to focus on serving an LDS mission, working full-time in demanding industries, and gaining experience to make the right decision for my degree plan. I don’t have any regrets there! I’m grateful to have learned what I have, so I can bring my all to my education and the recipients of my employment.
I have a personal goal to start a YouTube channel this year, 2026, so I’m very excited to be a part of a marketing project for such a worthwhile, thoughtful, and well-established author!
Tara's Reflections One of the most meaningful moments during the midterm presentation was realizing just how much Peyton has carried in this project. Early in the term, team members had to step away. Peyton didn’t hesitate to absorb additional responsibilities. She stepped fully into the Reports Manager role and continued leading the strategic direction of the project with steadiness and professionalism. During that meeting, I shared that this term’s interns have surpassed my expectations — and I meant it. Peyton’s business mind, paired with her humility, has been a gift. She thinks in systems. She thinks in language. She thinks about sustainability — not just buzz. As we move toward upcoming releases, the segmentation strategy and re-engagement surveys Peyton is crafting will help ensure that our readers receive content that truly matters to them. Not louder. Not more frequent. But more aligned. Peyton, thank you for your exceptional work and leadership. |
