The Existence Series Book 3: FOR THE ETERNAL Update

On my home office wall hangs the four-book series of The Existence Series.

Maybe I’ll share the display someday. But not yet.

It’s there to remind me that I need to finish the last book in the series.

What’s taking so long?

A lot of theories.

A lot of other priorities.

A lot of fears.

A lot of worry that I’ve forgotten how to write.

Plus the fear that I don’t enjoy writing anymore . . . this one scares me the most.

This year, I’ve coached more writers than ever before. Yet, I feel like a deceiver because I haven’t finished what I set out to complete.

The story idea came to me in 2014. I got serious about the series in 2019, publishing Remember and Beyond the End at the end of 2020 and Lies a Place in the spring of 2022.

But where is For the Eternal?

Six of the 58 chapters are left to be written. The notes are there. So why isn’t this book done?

And, lest you think I’ve just been waiting for this book to magically complete itself (which, on some days, I admit I have), I’ve also been on numerous day and overnight writing retreats on behalf of this book. Here is a collection of photos capturing a part of the journey: moments of slipping out into nature, booking private places to write, posting notes, drafting on whiteboards, and rehashing rewrites.

This is a serious project for me—maybe too serious. But I genuinely want to see this book completed.

If you’re waiting for the finished book (like I am), please drop me a note. I could really use some encouragement right now. It’s close. I see a window in my schedule opening up, but I need a nudge from just a small group of dedicated readers to help me cross the finish line.

Every day, the display on my wall reminds me: I need to finish this book. This series was never meant to be incomplete. The entire story needs to be told.

My heart hopes it is worth the wait.

If you wish to help, you can send me a message here:

I truly want to share this last book with you.

Thank you for being here!

Tara
