For the Eternal — A Long-Awaited Update

If you’ve been following The Existence Series for any amount of time, you know this final book, For the Eternal, has lived with me for years—patiently waiting for its moment. And as many have asked for updates, I wanted to share where things stand and what the path forward looks like.

2025 Has Been a Season of Big Growth

This year brought enormous change and opportunity. In October 2024, I joined Western Governors University as a Senior Learning Experience Designer. In the new year, some restructuring occurred, and I became an Instructional Designer for the company. Then in September 2025, I received a wonderful promotion. I now design their degree programs as a Senior Educational Program Designer. It's been a lot of career changes, yet this has allowed me to stay connected to my other passion of learning and education. The days have been challenging, and honestly, stretching in all the best ways. Career shifts require a whole new level of mental rigor, and that has played into some of the delays.

In addition to these big changes, I decided to accelerate my education by enrolling in an MBA program at Western Governors University. What is traditionally a two-year degree, I compressed into a single year due to my vision for the future of Patella Publishing Services. I’ve learned more in the past eleven months than I ever anticipated, and I’m on track to finish by this self-imposed deadline (which is right around the corner!).

Patella Publishing Services Has Flourished

Amidst all of this, PPS has continued to grow in ways that have humbled and amazed me. I’ve worked with incredible authors this year. Talented individuals who have poured their hearts into meaningful stories, and I can’t wait to share more updates about upcoming projects coming in 2026. The expansion of PPS has been one of the brightest parts of the year.

Where is For the Eternal Lives in All This?

Even with a full plate, it was important for me not to lose sight of this final book in the series. Until this book is complete, the rest of the series is incomplete. Months ago, I looked over my entire calendar of the year and found what pockets I could dedicate to this project.

Most mornings, I take the train into downtown Salt Lake City. This is an uninterrupted 45-minute ride that has become my sacred writing time. Where possible, this is where I devote attention to For the Eternal.

And with small daily steps, something remarkable does happen.

The book has finally reached the quality, depth, and emotional resonance I have always envisioned for it. It is becoming the story it was meant to be. This conclusion honors the entire series. Inside this book is hope, identity, grief, memory, and the fragile, fierce resilience of the human spirit.

What is the Timeline for Readers?

I have very high hopes for where things are in the process. The days, weeks, and months of early 2026 are dedicated to the finalization of this project.

Current target: late summer 2026 release

It feels right.

It feels aligned.

And for the first time, it feels real.

A Book That Changed Me

I have shared this before: writing For the Eternal has changed me. It has asked more of me than any book I’ve written. And I cannot wait for the moment readers finally open its pages.

Thank you for your patience, excitement, and belief in this story. The finish line is finally in sight, and I’m so grateful to be jogging toward it. I hope I will meet you there!
