For those of you who have expressed an interest in For the Eternal updates:
Thank you for the reader encouragement!
This is a monthly update until we reach the satisfying end.
Currently, I am on a special writing retreat dedicated to this project - focused, uninterrupted time to work through the storyline.
Yesterday, I worked on an exciting chapter where an important thread, which has been woven through all the books, came together into its final completed knot. The feeling was incredible! Being the first to experience the story, I was thrilled to watch the pieces align as they did. I estimate similar satisfaction for others ahead.
Also, I had my initial test reader review the first sixteen chapters. Up until now, no one else had seen any portion of this book in progress. So a thrilling moment indeed! We had some great storyline discussions and worked through a few troubled spots. Overall the reception was great, especially over a fun twist.
This whole series has been an incredible challenge and opportunity for me. I have changed immensely through this journey. I'm making great progress but the manuscript still has a long way to go. Right now, my word count is too high and sections are way underdeveloped. So there is still a lot of focus, dedication, rewrites, edits, and then . . . more rounds of rewrites and edits to come.
No release date is anticipated yet, but I'm putting in all my free time for a release before the end of this year. One more reason to celebrate 2023!
For Lies a Place, fans Julie, Leif, and Mark helped name characters Misty, Leif, and Ivy-Mai. Guess what? I have even more characters that are in need of similar naming help in For the Eternal.
